At first I wasn't sure about Rob being Edward, but I've watched just about every interview and video and looked at a lot of movie stills (I know I have a problem) and he doesn't look like he did in Harry Potter. Stephenie Meyer loves him as Edward, which I would say is a good thing. She said she met him and he really gets Edwards character. I think he's going to surprise us all.

Okay I just finished 'Twilight' in like 6 hours. Addicting? I think so. Here soon I'll start the next one and then probably the next one after that and then I'll read them all again.

Okay, I loved the beginning. Bella's first day at school was very interesting to say the least in terms of how Edward acted. Which as I read on made more sense...of course that was chapter 13 when I finally understood what the heck happened that first day. Not to mention why he had disappeared.

So my favorite chapters would have to be 13-14 I believe, and not to mention the Epilogue.

Of course it was funny, at one point in the book (when the Cullen's found Bella sprawled all over the floor in the dance studio) I was actually talking aloud and I said to no one in particular "Oh just let her turn! Grow a pair and deal with it!" Of course my father was a little confused at that point. He's not too excited about the new vampire in my life...especially since I've turned my sister and now we're a couple of drooling teenagers.

So that's all I have to say at this point in time. I'm pretty sure once I read it again I'll have found something new to talk about!

You should go to Stephenie Meyer's website and read the first chapter of Midnight Sun (Twilight but from Edwards POV.) It explains a lot about that first chapter.

I'll have to locate this site. I haven't had much of a chance to go looking yet. I should do that quickly.

ETA: I found it!!!

If you haven't done so, I recommend going to her site and reading the outtakes and extra chapters.
I love the one called Emmett & The Bear.

I like Rob Pattinson as Edward...maybe a little too much ;)

Thank you for sharing. I have been on her site a hundred times and have somehow missed that. I can't wait to check it out.

Hey I think they casted Robert as edward for his understanding in the character and his very good audition he did. I went and saw batman today. I was looking forward to the twilight commercial in it, but........................................... I get the copy of batman w/out the twilight trailer. I was like so mad. I so agree w/ Andromeda03 my dad just doesn't get it. He thinks I'm to into it.

I don't have to worry about my dad, but my husband thinks I have a problem. I probably am into Twilight a little too much. For example, tonight I was looking at my husband and his hair was all messed up and it reminded me of Edward and I said, "I like your hair like that. Don't cut it for a while." He just rolled his eyes.

Yeah, I didn't get to see the Twilight trailer on the big screen either, which really sucked. Batman was great though!

I just came across another comprehensive article about Stephenie Meyer and the Twilight empire. This Canadian version of Time or Newsweek magazine does an in-depth comparison of Twilight to current and past vamp lit from 1816 on, along with comparisons of Meyer to Rowling and the Twilight series to the Harry Potter series! Well worth reading if you have some time... it is a bit long. Enjoy!

Title of the article:
Love at first bite
A series about a romance with a tall, dark, handsome and deadly stranger is a hit with sexually curious adolescents

So I found those outtakes. They were so good. I have to agree Emmett and The Bear was my favorite one. I wish they had left that one in the book. I loved Edward watching the food network trying to figure out how to cook for Bella and then when he punched Emmett.

Wow, when I have a little time (or when I get back) I'll have to read all this stuff. The food network...ROTFLMAO!

I read the outtakes for twilight. I read all of them except one it was to long and I didn't have the time. I like Emmett and the bear, then Badminton, then Original Chapter 20 "Flight" a.k.a. Shopping with Alice. They were good. I wish they were all in their.

ok, so today I finished twilight and I have to say that I love it. At first I wasn't sure if this would be a book for me since I'm not exactly a teenager since several years. I mean, me being 33 years old reading a book about teenagers. But the book is great, really great and I couldn't put it down until I finished it. Does anybody else think that the book is at least 300 pages too short?

Ok, and now I'll start reading "New Moon" (I'm so glad that I bought the 2nd book as well :))
