And while we’re on the subject of werewolves, we have a nice little segue into the new trailer for Universal’s remake of The Wolf Man. A few weeks ago we heard that the release date for this film had been pushed back from November to February 12th, probably due to the reshoots and heavy special effects revisions we heard about a few weeks before that.

Now this is pretty early to see a trailer for a film that won’t be coming out for another six months, so hopefully that’s a sign that these revisions weren’t as severe as we had feared. Universal took advantage of this past weekend’s heavy horror turnout (read reviews of Halloween 2 and The Final Destination) to debut the trailer in theaters, and hopefully this means that we’ll be getting even more promo material as the release date draws closer. For now though, have a look at the trailer and comment below what you think of the effects.

I mostly agree with this review Flo.
The effects, lighting, and soundtrack are indeed awesome (specially the lighting!), the performances of Benicio and Anthony are outstanding as always, and totally agree with the "not for weak stomach" part, which is all good with me, very graphically violent, but elegant at the same time, is hard to explain, but they did a great job with the blood bite sh*t!!! And the transformation part .... oh so disgusting!! (good disgusting though LOL)
The story itself, on the other hand, not very good IMHO, a bit boring and so predictable, but all the other stuff make this movie very much worth watching!

I'm hearing mixed reviews on this movie but I personally think that I will love it. Maybe it needs to be for people fans of the genre and not so much fan of the actors that are in the movie.
