PASS ON THE MUSIC.
So I had a little free time on my hands, and a handful of some old and some newly-found great songs, so I've decided to post them and add a little "flavor" to the post. I was just browsing through music images on Yahoo, and I came across this one of someone handing a guitar pick to another person, with the saying "Pass on the music" below the picture. I really liked it along with the line, so I decided to place it on my post along with a few songs. I am a big supporter of passing on music to other people, it's one of the many things I love to do and I hope you guys enjoy my posts!
"Music after all is the background score to our lives, not merely surviving in our memory banks long after so many of our seemingly stronger memories have faultered, but serving to remind us of who we were at a given moment of our lives, where we were, what we dreamed of, what we feared, and of course who we loved." - Anonymous

If anyone ever has any recommendations of songs you think I would like, please post them to me! I would be more than happy, I love hearing new music and I'm open to anything.

I'm really digging your flavor Jess, very cool. Thanks to one of the Supernatural video's I've really come to like Iron and Wine. A lot of great songs on here Jess, thank you for sharing them. I'll have to go download some later tonight.

Thanks so much Jess. As you know I'm always looking for new music too! I particularly love the quote about "music is the background of our lives..." I love that!

Haha thanks guys! I'm always changing the music I'm into, it's different all the time. I'm down for anything, from rock to rap to country. Right now, I've been downloading a lot of music that are shown on TV shows, because I always hear great music when I'm watching a show and I always forget to write it down. Many of these songs are from House MD and Californication. Mike, I just heard Iron & Wine from a song from House, and I'm really liking their style as well. Flo, I'm glad you enjoy my music posts! I felt like putting a quote on the page, so I was just searching through some on some websites. There were a lot of good ones but that one really stood out to me, I totally agree with it. Music definitely is the background score to your life, sometime I wish that it was always playing . . the right song for every occassion or event in your life. Well, we always have our minds!
Anyway, glad you guys liked the post, I'll be sure to update it when a new flow of music comes to me.

I just have few small updates.
Tommy Stinson- Light of Day (Awesome song from the Californication Soundtrack- BTW sorry for all the bullsh*t talking in the background, only video I can find. Seriously, show some respect for the singer, God it's so aggrivating.)
James Morrison ft. Nelly Furtado- Broken Strings
The Motels- Take The L
I find and hear new songs everyday, it's hard NOT to share them. Haha, enjoy!

Kevin, I'm glad you liked them. "Broken Strings" is a really great song, I actually just heard it for the first time a couple days ago when I was in Hollister. I love when they sing the line "Oh, the truth hurts and lies worse" together, it sounds really good, lots of passion in their voices.

Wow Jess, GREAT stuff here! I just heard the Carolina Liar song the other day and was wondering who did it. The Matt and Kim vid is hilarious and Rilo Kiley at the Avalon brings back lots of memories. The Avalon was a dance and live music club in the shadow of Fenway Park and is alas no more. There's a House of Blues there now, which is great but is a little more commercial than gritty old Avalon! Thanks for sharing your list and the vids. I really enjoyed them!

Thanks Flo! Glad to bring back some old memories . . it's too bad that The Avalon is now nonexistent. It sounds like a fun place! At least they replaced it with something similar. I just heard the Carolina Liar song for the first time yesterday . . now I'm addicted! I'm happy you enjoyed the list & vids!
- Jess

Awesome Jess, you're right that's really fun version of "Don't Stop Believin". Adam Lambert is an American Idol right? I loved Mad World, that was really cool. Sean Kingstons "Fire Burning" is also a fun songs. Thanks!

Yeah he is, It was between him and Kris Allen, but Kris won. I don't even watch the show, but my mom was always raving over Adam, so I saw his take of Mad World and I was like Wow! He is a great singer, and the Mad World remake sounded awesome.
