OK....so I have thought of this before but Godric (on True Blood) really made me think.....I don't think there is really no way a vampire could have tats.

A tattoo is technically an injury to your body so it would heal on them. Plus their body pushes out silver and anything harming them...so, wouldn't their bodies push out the ink?

No idea WHY I think about this stuff but I do...

so, any thoughts out there on this?

Well...I'm thinking only new injuries heal and not things that were already a part of you when you were turned. So if he had the tatoos before he was made a vampire, then they should stay with him forever. Just think about Jessica and her being a virgin forever. That's only because the "injury" didn't happen to her when she was mortal so now every time she has sex...it grows back. The other vampires who weren't virgins before don't have this problem.

I second what Kel said. Tattooing has been a round for a looong time. Different forms of getting but the same outcome nonetheless.

I thrid what Kel said ha. And if you look at Godric's tattoo's, the styles and patterns of them seem primal, like he had gotten them in his previous life before he was turned. Great topic to post about Drea, I never even thought about it until you posted. That makes sense though, I would assume that if a vampire got a tattoo after becoming a vampire then it would eventually heal.
