YAY!! Happy Birthday MVS! Without the hard work and dedication from Admin Candy and all the moderators, MVS would not be this great!! So congrats guys for making it awesome and taking time out of your schedule to give everyone a place to come to talk about all vampire and non vampire related topics! Like I've said before, there's a great group of people here and I'm glad I am a part of it! Who knows what yet another year will bring to MVS!

OK, everyone sit down on the floor and let me tell you the story of how Moonlight Vampire Society got started….

Once upon a time a little over a year ago there was this beautiful ,blond, ambitious and very bullheaded young woman named Candy. One night Candy started to search the cyber world for some sites for her new favorite show Moonlight. At the time there wasn’t too many to choose from but she joined the forums and thus began this journey into Moonlight cyberspace.

During this time she quickly found out that people were harsh, strict with huge lists of rules and it was hard to find things of interest on these sites. She was new to this new world and it wasn’t the best first time experience. While on one of the sites she was approached by a fellow Moonlight fan who asked if she would like to help her start up and run her new Moonlight site. She hesitated at first but Candy agreed and this was the first time Candy got the taste of the administration team role. She quickly went from moderator to co administrator of this site. After a while Candy started to do all the leg work for this site, she was soon left alone with this site but had no control of the “major” leg work so she decided to part ways with the site.

A few days passed and Candy had an epiphany, why not start a site of her own? Yes, it would be hard and no she didn’t have spare time to keep it up and running but it can’t hurt to give it a try. First things first, what would she call it. Every other site had FORUM this or FANS that and those didn’t impress Candy.. What kind of name would draw people to us, what would make people feel like they are part of something big. To break it down, it was “Moonlight “because that was the first thing that brought her to forums in the first place. “Vampire” because she’s a fan of the genre, they are mysterious and people are drawn to a good mystery. “Society” because it’s about everyone, it’s a structured community of people bound together by similar interests. She got the ground work up and running and soon the team of one grew into a handful of people who would keep M.V.S. a float in the sea of fan forums.

Soon M.V.S. started to breathe life. Within days we had 50 members, then 150 and so we grew stronger with each passing day. Sadly later in the year we found out that Moonlight was being cancelled. Fret not faithful members M.V.S. wasn’t going down without a fight. Candy and her management team started to adapt the site into a huge house with different rooms/areas for other hit shows like Supernatural, True Blood, Twilight and other interests that she thought would be appealing to the fans. With this M.V.S. has become a great meeting place for many friends and fans of these hit shows. We’ve become a smooth operating machine, a machine that continues to move forward in hopes to bring more people to our humble home.

Candy’s goal has always been to give people a place where people were friendly, helpful and let you voice your “honest” opinion not one that was censored or one that was made for you. She wanted to give everyone a great experience unlike hers when she was new to the forum world. In the end she knows that a forum is for the members, it is the members that make the difference. As M.V.S. continues to grow so do the bonds of each of us.


OK so story telling isn’t my thing but that’s it in a nutshell. Bwahaha!

Thank you Candy for being bullheaded, for giving us all a place to call hope. We love you for the woman you are and you are truly the best administrator around. I’m proud to be a member here and appreciate all the hard work that you have done since day one. YOU ROCK!

Bravo gentlemen, thanks for sharing the history of MVS with all of us. When I first joined the site I was so impressed... at first with the look and the content and then with the way I was greeted. I couldn't get over how friendly Candy and you all were to a forum newbie and I was hooked! I also remember how flattered and touched that I was when Candy invited me to join the team - I was so excited and thrilled to have a role in the best site on the net!

We may kid about the "MVS family" but to me it is a very serious thing. I always know that no matter how bad my day has been that I can come here and find a friend (whether they're from a few towns away, in the "middle of nowhere" {their words not mine } New Mexico, Philadelphia, Cleveland, Canada, Chile or Germany,) a good laugh or a sexy picture of Jensen, Alex or Jason to turn my frown upside down!

Thank you, Candy, for being such a wonderful friend and for creating this wonderful home for us all! My thanks also go out to the rest of the MVS team, I treasure your friendship - you all mean a great deal to me and I'd be poorer for not having "met" you!

So I raise my glass to Candy, the team and all of the members of MVS! Cheers and thanks for a great year!

Thank you my dear friend Candy for starting such an awesome, magnificent, friendly, safe site for those of us of common interests to come together and share our thoughts! Over this time I have gotten to know some of you so well and am so honored to call you friends even away from the site!

I am truly proud when I tell people oh yeah, I am a moderator on this "vamp" site. You are always looking for ways to make us better, fresh, up-to-date and fun. You make this the BEST site out there!

Congrats MVS and thank you Candy for creating such a fun place. I haven't been here for too long but I've grown to really enjoy this place. It's nice to be surrounded by such great people.

That is a really great video you guys and yes thank you for the history lesson on MVS boys. There was a lot of stuff I didn't know either. I like the idea behind the name of the site. Thank you Candy for such a sweet @ss site. I've seen a few on the net and really there isn't anything that compares. This is a really great place and you seem to attracted the coolest people around. Thanks Candy, MVS Moderators and all the awesome members for making this such a great experience for me. I'm honored to be here.

Oh gosh, I don't even know what to write, so I'm starting with this awful sentence. Everything needs to start somewhere right?

I'm still stuck at the same point though... I mean, I know I could only say "Congrats Candy; Happy Birthday M.V.S." but it sounds like it's not enough in my head.

You're doing a really good job and I hope you'll keep things up for the next year! And then, the next, and the next, and the next.

To get through the first year is usually the hardest part in a forum but you did it brilliantly with a litlle bit of our help

Candy, sweetie, they have said it all, but you know how much I love you, and I will never find the right words to express my appreciation for what you have done, for giving me this great place, for giving it to all of us!!

I'm so happy for all the friends I've made here, I totally love this place ...

I can't even begin to convey how grateful I am that this site exists! I found MVS at a time when I desparately needed to "get away" from real life for awhile. I was fortunate to be welcomed onto this site by some of the most friendly & warm people ever!!

I especially want to say "Thank You" to Candy/Selene for creating MVS! Congratulations on maintaining a great place for all of us to enjoy......you definately rock girl!!!!! Thanks for the video & history guys. Nicely done!!

Wow, okay, totally wasn’t expecting this. I was actually coming on here to make an announcement regarding the first year anniversary, do a little catch up with the new members and BAM what a beautiful surprise this is. Wow, okay must compose myself. Seriously, you guys are truly the greatest. Other sites may say they have the best members around but they can bite me because that title belongs to me and M.V.S.

I truly appreciate all the kind words but I’ve said it before and I’ll continue to say it, this place would be nothing without all of you. I started this place as a blank canvas and all of you brought it to life with all your wonderful, colorful personalities. You guys are Moonlight Vampire Society. You never know what you’re going to get into when you start a website but this has really become a dream come true. I’ve been so very lucky and have been very blessed to have made such strong friendships and always making new ones every day.

I’ve had an absolute blast this past year and yes it has been a long road but totally worth it. I look forward to continuing this amazing adventure with all of you.

Boys thanks for the walk down Memory Lane, lots of bumps and challenges but as they say, it all works out in the end, especially if you have some help from your friends.

Haha! You are so funny and that was so very sweet Erika! We (The Team) can't take all the credit, you guys have really been kicking @ss with all the latest news and updates on all our favorites. We greatly appreciate the help too. It's hard to search through the sea of false news to find something confirmed and you guys have been doing a great job with keeping us all well informed. You are right, I do have a D*mn good team, there is no better out there, I have them and no I'm not sharing them with anyone. Mine!

Hey! Regarding the part about blondes having more fun, that's all up to you. I now have very dark hair with red highlights and still continue to have a great time. Don't make me teach you! Lord help us that could get bad, watch out, here comes trouble!

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!! Has it really been a year already. Congrats Candy!!!!!!!! I remember discussing this a lot about a year ago. I"m so glad you decided to do it. I know how much of a hard decision that this was to do for you since you had never done anything like it before. Girl, you should have never doubted yourself. It's a fanastic sight and one that I sincerely believe from what I've seen on other sites the one site to copy. Cudo's to you.
