Actually Mr. Kevin, he only has a 'tude around people he doesn't know. One word from me and he would totally rip your ankles apart!
He is super protective. Dachs are actually not known for being overly friendly dogs everyone just thinks they are b/c they are the cute "hot-dog" dog. I am amazed when we are walking how many strangers will let their kids coming running up to him and I have to get in front to stop them...what are they thinking?!? The funniest is when he tries to take on the neighbors rottweiler.

Candy's grandparents have one. She's really sweet though, very cuddly. They had one before this one that used to take on the big dogs in the neighborhood -- and win.

I'm a total animal lover and everyone's pet are SOOOO cute!!!!
